The Information, Advice & Support Service provides confidential and impartial advice and information to support parents/carers and children and young people, who have, or may have, Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) in Bracknell Forest.

Types of support we can offer: confidential helpline (telephone and email) general information on special educational needs; help for parents and carers to express their views; support through the statutory assessment process; help to complete forms; help to understand complex documents and reports; home visits and support at meetings; presentations to support groups; signposting to other relevant voluntary groups; access to an Independent Supporter during the Education, Health & Care plan process.

The service is accessible face to face, by e mail and telephone. An answerphone is available at all other times.

What are the eligibility criteria for your service?
The service is available to parents/carers of children and young people and the children and young people themselves who have, or may have Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND). The service is available to children and young people who have, or may have Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND). You do not have to have an Education, Health and Care plan to use this service.

How are referrals/applications made to your service?
This is a self-referral service so parents/carers and children and young people can contact us directly, you do not have to be referred by other organisations or professionals.
