The council have selected 1,000 local Carers at random and are asking them to complete a questionnaire to help find out more about them and the services they receive. All carers identified help or look after a partner, family or friend in need of support because of frailty, physical or learning disability or illness, including mental illness.
The questionnaire must be carried out by all local authorities with responsibilities for adult social services, on behalf of the Department of Health. The survey results will be used to see how well services are meeting user and carer needs at a national level. Locally, they will be used to inform service delivery for carers and to monitor and develop standards.
Carers will receive a postal questionnaire to complete along with an information sheet and a reply envelope to return the completed questionnaire. We will be asking for all questionnaires to be sent back to us by Friday 7 December 2018.
If you receive the questionnaire and need support in completing it or you have any questions, then advice and support is available by contacting the Council’s Performance and Intelligence Team on 020 8227 2564.
